Northern Irish photographer, curator and project manager based in east London.
I am interested in personal stories within complex issues, particularly in relation to conflict and globalisation.
After working as a photographer at The Clerkenwell Brothers (now Founders Makers), I began working at British Journal of Photography’s creative studio, Studio 1854, as a creative producer. Here, I had the pleasure of working with brands such as WaterAid, Lucas Film, Leica, and Malala Fund to create meaningful bodies of work. Several of these projects have gone on to gain recognition from the likes of Sony World Photo (Monty Kaplan and Marisol Mendez - Miruku - Wateraid x British Journal of Photography Climate Commission), PALM* Photo Prize, and Łódź Photofestiwal (Ngadi Smart - Wata Na Life - Wateraid x British Journal of Photography Climate Commission).
In 2020 I produced and hosted 1854 Presents, a series of online artist talks with the aim to provide a sense of community and creativity during the pandemic.
At the moment I am Head of Awards Production at British Journal of Photography. I produce Portrait of Britain, Portrait of Humanity, Female in Focus, OpenWalls, and BJP International Photography Award.
